We interrupt the current series to bring you this amazing outfit! We will be back to our regularly scheduled posts next week. Isn’t it a lovely day for a fashion post centered around gardens, spring colors, and fish tail braids? I sure think so. I just love it when an outfit that really shouldn’t work out, comes together. I mean who would have thought that two different spring colors, polka dots, and a panther would go together? Me either, but as I put on my polka dot pants and my Ruche mint heels, I saw a goodwill purchase from the day before (this lovely oversized sweater) laying across my chair and a light bulb popped up over my head! I grabbed the sweater, put it on and stared in the mirror gazing upon the unlikely creation that had just been born. I knew it was an outfit fit for a fashionista, but something was lacking. It wasn’t until I saw this panther pin and pinned it to my sweater that I knew the look was complete. Like I always say, sometimes the little details are the most important and in this case it was definitely true!
These pants are too short for me, but then again most pants are. It is one of the many struggles that I put up with as a tall female, but I wouldn’t trade who I am for the world! So I just take the pants that are almost always too short and roll them up a bit to make it look intentional. No one ever knows the difference! Sometimes you just have to take what you are given and make the most of it! Put on those jeans that are a little too short, roll them up, sprinkle on a little confidence and walk out the door with style and grace! This outfit was super cozy and just plain fun! A special thank you to Pineola Farms in Fort Valley, Ga for letting us use their location for this shoot. Such an amazing venue with a tons of character around every corner! Patience did this amazing messy fish tail braid and make-up that made this outfit complete! Sorry I cheated on the five under $40. I guess I will have to be extra thrifty next week to make up for it! 😉 Also! Check out my new Facebook page for my blog! Make sure to check out Amber’s blog because she just posted the photos from her spring photo shoot and they are breathtaking!
