Break The Rules

Fashion is what you make it. Take what you love and make your own style! People get so caught up with traditional fashion “rules” or what others think is appropriate, when in reality fashion has taken a drastic turn in the last few years. Most of these rules, even if valid at the time of their creation, are very outdated. I refuse to be shoved into a fashion corner and told what I can and cannot wear! I get frustrated when hearing people talk down to those wearing white after labor day as if they have just committed a sin against humanity. We should be encouraging others, not restricting them to irrelevant rules made up by people over 50 years ago. Just because it is something we have always done, doesn’t mean we have to keep doing it. Change can be a good thing! So the next time someone scoffs at your white pants on September 24th, you just smile and tell them that some rules are meant to be broken. 🙂

This is another example of how you can mix two totally different patterns and it look amazing! This skirt is a goodwill special and this blouse I found at Old Navy for next to nothing! Old Navy really has great clothing and even better sales! Just throw on some matching accessories and hit the streets! This is my first week as a Nashville resident! I am slowly getting adjusted to everything and still looking for a good job, but I know it will all work out! I went to my first show last night and will be going to explore more of downtown in the next couple of days!

Affectionately, Audrey ❤
